Data Recovery By deploying specialist utility software that we have developed and acquired over the years, Paralogic is able to successfully recover 'lost' data from optical and magnetic drives in approximately 80% of cases. This is not an exact science but we have achieved notable success with many optical file systems including Keyfile, Optisys, Corel, Plasmon, OStar and Pegasus-OFS. Secure Data Removal Paralogic has invested in a Verity SV91 Degausser that uses powerful magnetic fields to completely erase data from any magnetic media. Since this process uses 'deep erasure' techniques, data may be erased from non-working drives as well as fully operational devices. The SV91 is NATO and SEAP approved, erase certificates are provided for each item. Media Duplication Paralogic provides a duplication service for optical media. Any optical disk from any manufacturer using any optical file system may be duplicated to like media. Both the master and duplicate must be the same sector size and media type. Optical Data File Conversion This is a unique service, particularly valuable to users of older optical file systems that are no longer supported e.g. Optisys and GlobalNet. Currently supported systems include ADPfat, Corelfat, MDIfat, TTfat, Optifat #1, Optifat #2, Plasmon DOSMGR, Pegasus-OFS, Plasmon NTMGR, OStar and PC-Doc. Media Cleaning Sometimes optical disks are found to be unusable due to surface contamination which prevents the laser from focussing. Paralogic provides a specialist disk cleaning service to preserve the very delicate surface of the media and maintain the integrity of the data. Got a data problem?
